Ocorreu no domingo (26), na Califórnia, o Black Entertainment Television Awards (BET Awards), premiação destinada a celebrar artistas negros na música, televisão, cinema, entre outras áreas.
Entre os vitoriosos da noite, está o rapper brasileiro MD Chefe, que venceu a categoria Melhor Artista Revelação Internacional, derrotando concorrentes de países como o Reino Unido, África do Sul e França.
O intérprete de “Rei Lacoste” não foi o único representante do Brasil na noite de gala. Ludmilla também foi indicada à categoria Melhor Artista Internacional, mas perdeu o prêmio para Tems, da Nigéria.
A cerimônia foi aberta pela cantora Lizzo, cantando o sucesso “About Damn Time”, que ganhou destaque em redes sociais como o TikTok.
